We are looking for individuals in the Arkansas area who are eager to serve children as a Classroom Intervention Specialist.

What you will do:

Our ideal candidate is someone who is excited to learn and is passionate about helping children in a fun, engaging, and collaborative manner.

• Actively participate in classroom management by guiding classroom teacher(s) in engaging children in interaction and activity for healthy development, curriculum implementation, playground activities, social and emotional development.
• Ensure learning environment(s) are established and maintained to motivate and enable children to achieve developmental milestones appropriate for their age.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals providing individualized care for each child to establish intervention strategies and encourage the childs growth and development.
• Ensure a positive emotional climate for the children by showing respect to children and adults through a willingness to help others, maintaining harmonious interpersonal relations, and using appropriate and approved de-escalation techniques.
• Guide Classroom Teacher(s) in identifying performance goals.
• Provide training and education to Classroom Teacher(s) for optimal classroom functioning.
• Oversee the evaluation, development, and implementation of Individual Treatment Plans for children.
• Ensure that a clean, safe, healthy, and sanitary learning environment is maintained and that children are kept clean, clothing is changed when necessary, and toys and other materials are disinfected each day.
• Ensure treatment plans developed by developmental evaluators are implemented.
• Collaborate with Classroom to respond intentionally to challenging behavior by helping children de-escalate and prompting appropriate skills
• Toilet training and diaper changing will be required

• Working knowledge of computer technology: Windows operating systems, iOS, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Availability Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm
• 18 years of age
• Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or another related field, OR a high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years experience working with children with special needs
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• One year of experience working with children in a professional setting
