Sway is seeking an experienced, well rounded, Art Director to join our Norfolk, VA team. The selected candidate will be responsible for stewarding the conception and execution of best-in-class work for a range of digital mediums as well as associated print and broadcast creative. We’re looking for someone with an impressive portfolio of client work that showcases their skill, agency experience and ability to concept and design across multiple channels. Candidate should be truly passionate about advertising and be an advocate for innovation to shape the creative and culture here at Sway.

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience as an art director
• A proven history of leading design and art direction, particularly in the digital space
• A solid command of the UX/UI design process in regards to creating best in class experiences
• A well rounded knowledge of the digital product life cycle and experience driving digital projects from start to finish
• An additional understanding of print and/or broadcast

• Develop inspiring creative concepts and designs from client insights and expressed objectives
• Work collaboratively with copy writers, strategists, technologists and designers to both see your own ideas through as well as amplify the ideas of others toward the most impactful, intelligent and impressive solution
• Be able to easily communicate, support and present your concepts and designs and clients
• Have a sound understanding of the digital space in order to communicate expectations and ideas with technologists
• Have a solid background in print preparation to ready deliveries for vendors
• Be a student of the industry and an influencer within the team — always sharing learned insights, trends and best practices
