Your future team
Reporting to the Chief Actuary, our department supports the Life & Retirement (L&R) Actuarial team’s compliance with Corebridge Financial Corporate SOX control policy, Model Risk Management Policy, and End User Computing Tools (EUC) policy. Additionally, we support Operational Risk Reporting.
This position can be based out of Houston, TX, Woodland Hills, CA, or Jersey City, NJ. Remote workers may also be considered.

  • PwC Annual Attribution Testing Lead: Coordinate the annual PwC Annual Attribute. Support L&R SOX Control Owners in complying with Corebridge Financial ICFR Policy and the L&R Control Procedures. Manage all communications with PwC and internal teams on this highly important exercise.
  • Actuarial Workflow Manager Lead: Complete all functions in support of Actuarial SOX Controls repository supporting the 302 Sub-Certification signoff by the L&R Chief Actuary.
  • Single Cell Testing Lead: Support all aspects of the L&R Actuarial Team’s role in the Single Cell Testing framework going live in early 2023. This will include coordinating with all Actuarial Model Owners about the testing and status of their models.
  • Model Risk Governance Support: Support the L&R Model Risk Governance Officer and Model Risk Governance lead as necessary.
  • Business Continuity (BC): Support L&R BC Coordinator as needed.
  • Support ACMG Director: Other support and special projects as needed.
  • Miscellaneous assignments including but not limited to:
    • Maintaining and improving ACMG Landing page on WIKI
    • Maintaining ASOP’s summaries and applicability for ASOPs
    • Work with senior leaders (both actuarial and non-actuarial leaders) on driving key business and actuarial goals.
    • Create and maintain benchmark testing tools, including developing spreadsheets and programs based on model specifications to replicate model functionality and assemble benchmark data for model comparisons.
    • Utilize your communication and documentation skills to present results (e.g., models) and allow others to understand the materiality of the results and assumptions made.
    • Work with actuarial units, finance teams, and Business units across the organization to understand stakeholder requirements.
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative field
  • 3+ years of progressively more responsible actuarial experience with Life & Retirement Insurance products
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
  • Actuarial modeling experience
  • Production actuarial experience
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of many actuarial financial reporting processes
  • Working knowledge of Life and Retirement Insurance products and processes
  • Highly detailed oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence others outside of direct reports to support your work
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Outlook and Excel
