General Summary
The National Board Resource Center at Illinois State University (NBRC@ISU) is funded by the Illinois State Board of Education and designed to oversee and manage the Illinois Master Teachers' support program. This position oversees the Center's operations.
Additional Information
This is a non-continuous, grant funded position. The initial appointment will end on June 30, 2023, the end of the current grant year. Appointment renewal for the following grant year will be based upon available grant funding and performance.
Required Qualifications
1. Master's degree.
2. National Board Certification.
3. Five years teaching in K-12 schools; and/or an equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
4. Strong interpersonal, time management, personnel management, quality assurance, and grant-writing skills.
5. Experience in managing budgets, invoicing and contracts
6. Be able to organize and coordinate a functioning team that works at an accelerated pace.
7. Be motivated and excited about creating new design.
8. Thorough knowledge of National Board certification, NBPTS Standards and Core Propositions.
9. Skill in coordinating events and projects, evaluating data and establishing priorities.
10. Skill in program development and execution.
11. Excellent presentation skills with groups as small as 15 participants to as large as 150.
12. Ability to handle and coordinate multiple projects/details at one time.
13. Ability to organize and maintain accurate database and/or records.
14. Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
15. Ability to analyze problems and make well-reasoned, sound directions.
16. Ability to pay attention to the smallest details while keeping the big picture and end goals in mind.
17. Ability to travel.
18. Valid driver's license
Work Hours
Generally Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with occasional weekend and evening hours as business needs dictate
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods
2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
Pay is commensurate with qualifications and experience, combined with an excellent benefits package
