Assistant in Nursing Job at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital
Full-time Night shift 7:00pm-7:00am.
Assists the Unit Manager in the coordination of the entire unit including patient care, staffing, policies and standards, and budgeting. Assists the Unit Manager as a liaison between unit personnel, medical staff, and hospital administration. Assists the utilization of the nursing process in assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program and holds a current valid license to practice nursing in North Carolina. Completion of general and job specific orientation program within expected timeframe. Current certification in BCLS and ASLS. New employees required to have certification will be expected to have current certification as defined by hospital policy. Employees who do not attain or maintain their certification as required by policy will not be allowed to work or use PTO and may be subject to further disciplinary action. Experience as a professional nurse in which clinical competence and potential supervisory competence has been demonstrated. Ability to work effectively with others, leadership ability and willingness to accept responsibility. Clinical expertise and knowledge of current nursing trends. Ability to use clinical judgement to provide safe, quality patient care. Excellent verbal and written communication skills utilizing SBARQ and CUS tools.
