DEPARTMENT: : 5245 - Outlet
REPORTS TO: :Warehouse and Transportation Manager
SAFETY SENSITIVITY: : Low : – Exposure but limited or no use

The starting wage for this position is $21.00 per hour.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB: : The Assistant Store Manager in the Outlet environment will assume the lead role for supporting preparation of tables and staging product, handling sales transactions, maintaining a clean, neat and shoppable environment while providing training and supervision to the Outlet team. Additionally, the ASM will focus on maximizing sales and minimizing waste (salvage and landfill) through collaborations with other DGR management. The ASM is also responsible for ensuring environmental security in the Outlet store area.

Use of time: It is anticipated that 85% of work time will be spent involved in the transactional functions of operating the Outlet store. The remaining 15% of work time will be used in supervision of team, collaborating with DGR partners and administrative tasks.

PROVIDES SUPERVISION TO : : :Outlet Store team members

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: :
    • Counting cash register drawer
    • Operate cash register
      • Perform sales transaction
      • Collect payment
      • Perform and report mid-shift readings (X and/or Z process)
    • Creating bank deposit
    • Ensure that table/product rotations are performed on schedule
    • Maintain work environment to be neat, clean and shoppable
    • Address customer issues as necessary
    • Support preparation of tables when needed; and ensure daily table rotations goals are achieved
    • Schedule team member work shifts and assignments.
  • Train store team members on all functions
  • Supervise team members to meet business needs including open/close procedures, performance of safety training/drills, achieving production goals i.e., movement of product, and meeting sales goals.
  • Report production and sales data daily
  • Monitor maintenance needs of Outlet store equipment and tools
  • Perform administrative duties: Payroll entry and approval, Inter-departmental communications, and Supply ordering for department
QUALIFICATIONS: :
  • High School diploma, or GED required
  • Minimum one (1) year cashiering experience required
  • Minimum two (2) years supervising experience required
  • Basic work readiness skills and aptitude
  • Good communication skills, both in writing, and orally
  • Basic Math skills, specifically counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication
  • Able to regularly lift to 50 pounds with or without assistance
  • Able to receive and follow direction
    • Able to speak and understand English for communicating with customers, co-workers or supervisors; especially as relates to ability to receive and follow work assignments and safety information

WORK ENVIRONMENT: : You will work inside and outside, with continuous exposure to all weather elements and conditions. You will primarily be walking on concrete and asphalt surfaces but will also be exposed to linoleum, slate tile, and carpet. You will have recurring exposure to moving/mechanical machinery. Moderate to loud noise levels, moderate dust level exposure and moderate temperature changes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: : Standing and walking intermittently throughout the work shift. Frequent lifting, up to 25 pounds. Bending, stooping, reaching and grasping frequently. Have gross manual dexterity skills. There will be occasional pushing and pulling of objects. Visual, hearing, and verbal abilities required.
