Overview:


The Associate Director of Alumni Engagement is responsible for the development, implementation, marketing and management of targeted campaigns in order to strengthen relationships throughout the Trinity community and build financial support to Trinity International University (TIU).

This position is an active and essential working member of the Advancement team, and the role requires a highly collaborative and positive attitude, perseverance, as well as the ability to think strategically and creatively.


Responsibilities:


  • Actively seeking and focusing on increasing alumni participation, their level of financial commitment and their continued support of TIU’s fundraising mission and strategic priorities
  • Meeting and working with the Office of Student Life to implement a program to connect current TIU students to alumni.
  • Collaborating with other departments to design and implement the management of the monthly alumni e-newsletter, alumni quarterly and specialized campaigns.
  • Build and implement strategies for moving alumni to higher giving levels using all media and applications
  • Maintain contact with identified alumni for engagement with programs.
  • Provide accurate alumni data and information on the organization database.
  • Involved in fundraising as part of annual campaign and project initiatives of TIU
  • Collaborate with Advancement Data & Prospect Research Analyst in creating a variety of alumni reports, and various other reports.
  • Create and implement an annual events calendar that engages a wide array of alumni and donors. Collaborate and oversee events to track participation and meet current engagement metrics.
  • Support Admissions with planning of signature events, marketing/ communications, and student recruitment.
  • Collaborate with Athletics teams to host Booster Club engagement events.
  • Consistently model a high degree of customer service and student focus.
  • Professionally represent TIU at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


  • Supportive of Trinity’s mission and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle, and demonstration of character.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently initiate, organize, prioritize, and multi-task numerous competing projects or tasks.
  • Excellent writing and composition skills with attentions to detail.
  • The ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate and collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Working experience with event registration systems, email communication
  • Knowledge of various marketing mediums including, social media and emerging trends, phone, direct mail and online fundraising procedures.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Self-starter with ability to prepare and present motivational, informational and successful presentations to various organizations and individuals.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

Evening/weekend hours and occasional travel and professional attire required. In addition, the Associate Director must participate in and support the Office of Advancement special events and programs as needed.

Standard business hours Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm for this in-person, exempt position.
