Responsibilities:
The Associate HRIS Analyst is an entry-level position within the HRIS structure. The primary focus of this position is the support and maintenance of the Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS). This position serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional area and assists subject matter experts with security implementation and audit, ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Associate HRIS Business Analyst also supports HRMS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.

Production Support & Maintenance (% of time: 55)
  • Provide support for HRMS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g., payroll).
  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of HRMS system upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintain HRMS system tables. Document process and results.


Projects/Process Improvement (% of time: 15)
  • Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Use some project management skills in managing projects.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs, or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge. Participate in user group meetings/conferences.


Reports/Queries (% of time: 20)
  • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.

Training
(% of time: 10)
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train clients on new processes/functionality. Create web based training videos to support existing system functionality and on-board new HR end-users.

This is a hybrid role. Work from home on Mondays and Fridays, in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Qualifications:
Education/Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.

Previous Work Experience
One to three years of experience as HRIS or HR generalist or specialist experience.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in the design, development and use of databases such as MS Access. Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with an HRMS such as Ultimate Software UltiPro, Workday, Cerdian, PeopleSoft, Lawson or ADP EV2. Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects.
