Auto Mechanic Job at CAS Automotive Group
CAS Automotive Group is looking for a knowledgeable ASE Certified mechanic to help us launch our new car lot in Houston, TX.
The ideal mechanic is a driven, independent professional with a minimum of 5 years mechanical repair experience who will help us inspect, repair and turn around vehicles for resale quickly on site.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee needs manual dexterity and physical stamina, be able lift heavy objects up to 50lbs, and walk and stand for extended periods of time.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with computer diagnostic equipment.
- Performs tests on specific parts and systems to determine whether they are operating properly.
- Examines critical parts and systems using standard checklists.
- Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as wire harness, modules, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
- Conducts post-repair testing and diagnostics.
- Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness and organization
Required Language(s) and Skills/Abilities:
- Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of Extensive knowledge of salvage damage and vehicle vepair.
- Knowledge of health and safety compliance
- General electrical and wiring diagnostics
- Proficient with related computer diagnostic equipment and software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
- Ability to handle various tools and equipment.
Education and Experience:
- Fluent in English & Spanish
- 2 years Salvage experience or ASE certification
- Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Engine Performance (A8), and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2)
- Fork lift certification is a plus.
