  • WE ARE CURRENTLY OFFERING A $500.00 SIGN ON BONUS!
  • This is a Full Time Position. 5 Day work week.
  • Flexible Starting Salary Based on Experience and qualifications.
  • Location: Western Nassau County (Lynbrook and/or Mineola)
  • Responsible for the overall sales and operational performance of an Auto Barn Auto Parts store serving the Professional and Do-It-Yourself Customer.
  • Professional Level Sales and Management Position
  • Strong benefits package, including a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, life insurance, merchandise discounts, ASE Certification reimbursement, paid vacation, paid holidays, and personal time pay.
  • Auto Parts or Related Automotive Experience is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve overall store sales goals and operational and service objectives
  • Speak and write English (Spanish a huge plus)
  • Communicate effectively with Company Associates, including peers, subordinates and upper Management.
  • Build strong relationships with professional and do-it-yourself mechanics.
  • Hold others accountable, inspect work quality and provide effective and constructive feedback.
  • Flexibility to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Customarily and regularly directs the work of four or more full time associates.
  • Assigns work schedules.
  • Suggest and recommends hiring and firing, and advancement and promotions or any other change of status of associates.
  • Able to perform the duties as needed of counterperson, stock, sales, cashier associates.
  • Associate training.
  • Inventory control. As well as advanced Parts Lookup and parts sourcing,
  • Enforces cash management policies and loss prevention policies
  • Directs store team and provides superior customer service.
  • Managers/Assistant Managers are responsible for the opening and closing of store.
  • Responsible for appearance and safety of the store.
  • Enforces Company policies and procedures.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Supervises the Receiving and dispatching of merchandise.
  • Sees that all credit regulations are complied with.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
Successful Store Manager/Assistant Managers candidates will have strong leadership, communication and people skills and automotive knowledge with experience in retail and or wholesale store management. ASE certification preferred but not required.
