Shalom House, Inc. has job opening for a Awake Overnight Residential Support Worker (RSW) to work in the Greater Portland area. The positions is responsible for assisting residents in carrying out skills of daily living and in utilization of community mental health supports as well as having knowledge of and assisting with the action steps of our residents current Individual Treatment Plans. Other duties include medication administration and/or supervision, overseeing and maintaining physical plant including housekeeping, maintenance, safety and supplies.

Experience working with people with several and persistent mental illness preferred.

Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED with some experience working successfully in community-based mental health work.Must complete Mental Health Technician I coursework within 12 months of employment with all training costs paid by Shalom. Ability to be proficient in reading, writing and taking direction. Ability to set limits, provide role modeling for residents and be comfortable in teaching skills of daily living.
