Union Square Events is looking for a Full Time Banquet Server to join their growing team!

The Catering Server/Bartender is an hourly team member who delivers thorough and thoughtful hospitality and service in a variety of environments exclusively at one of New York City's premier Hotels. A Catering Server/Bartender must have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a knowledgeable passion for food and beverage service. The ability to interact with staff, clients, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, efficient, and reliable is crucial to this role. The ideal candidate exudes a high level of professionalism and hospitality expertise.

What you’ll do:

• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner, bringing hospitality to every interaction
• Read, understand and execute Event Orders
• Follow checklists and Standard Operating Procedures
• Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties complying with Union Square Events' operational standards
• Adhere to company uniform and grooming standards at all times
• Perform any related duties as requested by the supervisor/manager
• Assist other team members and hotel partner employees when needed

What we need from you:

• Catering/Bartender/Fine-Dining experience is preferred; service and hospitality-oriented attitude a must
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, and interest in learning new skills
• Ability to adjust or move objects up to 40 pounds in all directions
• The capability of maintaining a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods
• Ability to carry 8 plates with covers around the ballroom
• English fluency and Spanish knowledge is a plus
