Behavioral Health Counselor - LISW or LPC
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Formulates programs for treatment and rehabilitation of clients using knowledge of current mental health diagnosis and counseling and treatment techniques.
- Counsels clients individually and/or in group sessions (as appropriate) to assist the client in overcoming individual or family issues, mental illness, or substance abuse.
- Counsels family members (as appropriate) to assist with treatment issues and to serve as a support system to the client.
- Refers clients to other supportive services as needed.
- Prepares and maintains reports and case histories.
- Assists in providing quality assurance and process improvement reports for improving quality of patient care and provides support to the Case Management Team, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field required.
- LISW, LMSW, LPC or LMFT license in the State of South Carolina required.
- One to three years' experience in a primary healthcare setting preferred.
- Must maintain a South Carolina Drivers License.
- CPR certification required.
