The Superintendent of Maple Run Unified School District is seeking a proven leader to be the next Principal of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, VT, effective July 1, 2023.About Maple Run Unified School DistrictThe Maple Run Unified School District enrolls approximately 2,700 students in pre-kindergarten through Grade 12. The school district includes two Pre-K 8 schools in the St. Albans area; one Pre-K 8 school in Fairfield, Vermont; Bellows Free Academy (Grades 9-12, High School) and the Northwest Technical Center.
St. Albans offers convenient access to Lake Champlain and is approximately a 30-minute drive to Burlington, VT, a 3.5-hour drive to Boston, and a 1.5-hour drive to Montreal, Quebec.About Bellows Free Academy (BFA)Bellows Free Academy is a high school serving approximately 900 students in Franklin County, Vermont. Member schools of the Maple Run District send high school students to BFA from St. Albans City, St.
Albans Town, Fairfield; additionally, BFA accepts students from neighboring towns. Bellows Free Academy is known to set an example as leaders in academic excellence. The Principal of Bellows Free Academy will serve as instructional leader and will engage students, families, staff, and community members to provide rich and innovative learning experiences for students.
Candidates must hold or be eligible for the Vermont 3-91 Principal endorsement by July 1, 2023. At least five years of relevant experience is preferred, as is a masters degree in education or related field.The position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students.
