As a Biology Project Leader – Insecticides - you create chemistry by…

Joining an established insecticide Field Biology/Agronomy team and supporting the Group Leader in managing the insecticide field development program that primarily focuses on the global evaluation of research compounds and global life cycle management of established products.

Taking responsibility for one or more research projects, where you will oversee design of field trial programs, executed within a network of global and regional research stations, to characterize the field performance of research compounds and inform project team decisions with the goal of chemistry advancement through the PhaseGate process.

Utilizing your proven technical knowledge and prior project management experience will serve you well as you support advanced insecticide projects by planning and coordinating field testing programs to address regional needs, develop technical documents, support pre-launch activities, and provide technical support for label expansion of commercial products.

Developing data summaries and research reports for communication to internal and external stakeholders (Advanced Biology team - both in RTP and the Philippines, the Chemistry Team in Germany, the Formulation Team in RTP, Regional Biology counterparts and Global Marketing Teams).

Providing agronomic and entomological expertise to support expansion of business opportunities for BASF, including technical evaluation of 3rd party products.

Your formula for success…

Utilize your BS and or Advanced degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Entomology or Crop Protection (or related field) AND 8+ years industry or professional experience.

Solid understanding of agronomy, proficiency in experimental design and experience in running and managing insecticide field trials

Strong team-oriented approach to collaboration

Effective at communicating technical information across written and oral platforms

Although not required, this is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate any working knowledge you may have with the agricultural research management software (ARM).

Travel for this role is expected to be <15% of the time - domestically and internationally.
