Hours for this role are Monday-Friday, 10:30am - 7pm Eastern Time.

Job Summary

The Brokerage Support Specialist is responsible for assisting Farmers agents by helping to place business with outside carriers when declined by Farmers or Foremost. Additionally, they assist other Kraft Lake departments with basic inquiries regarding commissions or quote follow ups as needed.

Essential Job Functions

Provides exceptional customer service to our Farmers agents through incoming phone calls and electronic chats. Responsible for analyzing and resolving policy and commission requests from Farmers Agents by capturing all applicable, detailed, information pertaining to risks from Farmers Agents. Utilizes resources such as Rep Assist for providing options for Farmers agents. Documents Rep Assist clearly and accurately with information to be utilized for underwriting purposes. Provides support to additional Kraft Lake departments such as Underwriting, Accounting and Marketing with projects as needed. Includ ing but not limited to; researching carrier resources, processing transfers, communicating with agents, completing applications and assisting with website updates. Maintains job knowledge through intermittent training/learning and incorporates new information into daily tasks

Physical Actions

Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (e.g. others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.

Physical Environment

This position operates in an open office working environment which will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelors Degree preferred.

Experience Requirements

Minimum two years experience in the insurance industry highly preferred. Brokerage experience is preferred.

  • Farmers offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications and location
  • CO Only: The pay range for this job being performed in CO would be $21.50 - $26.10/hour
  • New York City, NY/Westchester County, NY Only: The pay range for this job being performed in NYC or Westchester County, NY would be $25 - $28.55/hour
