Direct Derm is seeking a positive, bright, empathetic, and self-motivated learner to fill the Office Administrative Assistant position in our La Jolla Office. The Office Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing a wide range of administrative duties that support the functions and operations of the dermatology practice and its patients. The Office Administrative Assistant will assist in monitoring various communication lines, managing spreadsheets, and performing daily tasks associated with patient care.The position requires excellent problem solving skills, ability to work independently and willingness to explore various given tasks to support operational management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and duties and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem solving skills to support changes in internal processes and procedures.
  • Support and Communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities in a demanding environment.
  • Experience in utilizing various software systems, spreadsheets, databases, and operation of computer systems including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to function independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills among patients, staff, and partners.
  • Demonstrate organization, coordination, and time management skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform assigned daily tasks and projects assigned by operational management.
  • Knowledge of all workflows and processes throughout the company in order to provide positive input on improvements needed.
  • Support manager(s) and the department with various administrative tasks including but not limited to scheduling, time sheets, data entry, faxing, and more.
  • Utilize all EMR systems to perform daily activities that support our patients.
  • Apply all knowledge and understanding of HIPAA regulations to daily work.

EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Bilingual English and Spanish may be required
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and passion for helping others
  • Demonstrated interest in the Healthcare field looking for an individual to fill a long term position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
