On Demand Counseling is looking to hire an additional Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistants (CDCA) to join our growing Newton Falls, team! Our facility is designed to meet the unique needs of our clients undergoing withdrawal management. Our continuum includes withdrawal management with multiple levels of treatment, holistic remedies and activates and more. CDCAs are responsible for providing client assessments, monthly counseling, crisis intervention and other services to assist the client in the treatment process. This is a full time, hourly position W-S 9a-7p.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under direction, ensure that activities and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of New Day Recovery
- Make referrals as needed
- Act as an advocate for program participants with courts, schools, treatment centers and other services as appropriate in order to make referrals and conduct follow-ups
- Provide individual counseling, engage clients and conduct group counseling as needed
- Aid in treatment plans and client evolvement through the continuum
- Prepare written reports, regular case dictation and summaries for consultation according to program standards and professional ethics
- Participate in curriculum development and supervision of clients
- Other duties as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma with 1-2 years relevant work experience preferred
- Completed 40 hours of education in chemical dependency counseling/clinical methods
- Must have a CDCA certification
- Must have knowledge and experience working with alcohol/drug assessment and case management
- Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships
- Must be organized, detail oriented and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must possess group work skills
- Good working knowledge of computers and familiarity of Microsoft Office
- Experience working with a team of professional staff desirable

- Must demonstrate the ability to effectively function as a New Day Recovery team member
- Must demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Must possess and demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Must demonstrate the ability to relate with empathy and sensitivity to staff, clients and the community
