POSITION OPENING
CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT
Antrim County is now accepting applications for a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position with the Commission on Aging (COA). Candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent, have a valid Michigan driver’s license with reliable transportation, and be able to work independently. Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) months experience providing personal care services to individuals and hold certifications as a Certified Nursing Assistant or show current successful completion of a pre-employment National League for Nursing written examination.
Under direct supervision of the COA director, the primary duties of this CNA include (but are not limited to) providing respite and/or personal care assistance to clients in their residence, simple meal preparation, providing additional health care for clients as directed by a registered nurse, assist client/caregiver with self-administered medications, and maintaining client confidentiality at all times.
This full-time position requires 37.5 hours /week and mileage reimbursement at IRS rate. Starting hourly wage is $13.88/hour, with a 3-yr step scale that extends to $17.07/hour. The position includes health, dental, life, disability, life insurance, and pension. Monday - Friday schedule, with no nights, weekends, or holiday work. For more information, call 231-533-3605.
