About the role
This position responsible for the effective daily leadership of their staff, leading the engineering program to the highest level of quality work and customer service as well as the administration of the engineering department in alignment with the management team, the CBRE engineering platform, and client expectations.
What you’ll do
- Ensure performance management, mentor, and development of team members through established HR processes and disciplinary actions.
- Program to include procedures for annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly and other scheduled maintenance as provided by the manufacturer's recommendations or industry standard processes.
- Develop and maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals and train building personnel.
- Be responsible for all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues; must remain current with the latest HVAC technology trends.
- Maintain ongoing communication with tenants, clients, property management, and vendors
- Develop specifications solicitation, administration, execution and performance of maintenance/ repair service contracts and acquisition of new management contracts.
- Respond to all emergency situations quickly (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns
- Maintain and repair of HVAC equipment ranging from 1 ton to 1,000-ton chillers, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers and other auxiliary equipment.
- Perform all PM’s on all associated equipment of chillers and cooling towers.
- Monitor chemical feeds to chiller systems.
- Assist with troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of all equipment on site
- Maintain, service and setup service equipment and rigging equipment
What you’ll need
- Associate's degree from two-year college or technical school and a minimum of seven years related experience or trade school training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Universal CFC certification required. Additional certification in three or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
