Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellowship: Flexible Opportunities (Assessment, Outpatient Therapy and/or Inpatient Acute Care Therapy) within Full Continuum of Care

The ideal applicant is team oriented, enthusiastic, flexible, interested in learning, and passionate about our field. The start date will be as soon as possible or August 7, 2023, unless otherwise decided between the applicant, practice owner, and training directors.

Direct Clinical Experiences

We offer multiple direct clinical experiences. Candidates are encouraged to consider one or two experiences of interest to discuss during the interview process; no decisions need to be made prior to application, and we would like applicants’ cover letters to indicate preferences. Decisions about direct clinical experiences will be made collaboratively with the applicants, Training Director(s), and the Practice Owner prior to acceptance of the position.

The direct clinical experiences include:

• Outpatient Therapies. In our private practice locations, post-doctoral fellows can work with children, adolescents, and adults (as agreed upon). Individual and/or couples and family sessions are offered at the practice and can be supported by supervision.
• Experience and exposure to Psychoneurotherapy (PNT) treatment is optional.
• Acute Care and Partial Hospitalization Program. As a key advocate for children and adolescents, these post-doctoral fellows will collaborate across the continuum of care within the MiraCare system as well as external resources, providers, etc. Within the system, they will design and facilitate group therapies and conducti family and individual sessions with our inpatient population.
• Psychological & Neuropsychological Testing. Post-doctoral fellows will complete full and partial batteries. The practice offers testing services that can emphasize neuropsychological testing, emotional/social/personality patterns, as well as diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. Specialty areas (e.g., ASD, ADHD) can also be developed as cases can be assigned based on a candidate interest.

All Post-Doctoral positions include:

• Provide psychological services for a diverse group of patients in age (5 years thru adulthood) and presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related responses, ADHD, academic and behavioral difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and other social and emotional concerns
• Depending on the goals of the candidate, continue developing a generalist base or begin to develop a targeted service niche in the field
• Partner across a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive psychological treatment
• Face-to-face individual supervision with a licensed clinical psychologist
• Group supervision of therapy cases with licensed clinical psychologists
• Professional development group with other post-doctoral fellows and newly licensed professionals focused on professional development, EPPP resources, becoming a supervisor, case issues, etc.
• Other supervision and mentoring as needed
• Provide secondary supervision to doctoral interns
• As an APA-approved Continuing Education site, opportunities for trainings both on- and off-site

Compensation

Stipend-based compensation while building patient load with the option to go to production-based compensation structure. Salary beginning at $53,000 with the option for production-based bonuses.
