Rebound is the largest orthopedic and neurosurgical practice in the Portland-Vancouver area with an array of sub-specialties including orthopedics, brain and spine care, sports medicine, physiatry, physical therapy and hand therapy. We are looking for a full time Clinical Support Specialist to support our clinical teams and providers at our clinics in Vancouver, WA and Salmon Creek, WA. This role will provide administrative
support to Medical Assistants, Providers, and other positions as appropriate in support of
patient care and an efficiently run clinic. The ideal candidate will possess great organizational skills and energy, a can-do attitude, a desire to learn the practice, and a collaborative team spirit. The candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal skills and a superior commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate daily multidisciplinary care coordination in areas such as surgical packet
    preparation.
    • Communicate with patients and their families concerning the progress of patient care
    continuum, including status updates regarding orders, authorizations, test results, etc.
    • Assist with coordination of care between patients/families and healthcare team
    including nurses, physicians, therapists, and community healthcare providers.
    • Provide patient appointment scheduling as appropriate.
    • Assist with forms completion and communication surrounding forms, such as L&I,
    FMLA, Disability, etc.
    • Review provider schedules and dashboards. Request imaging, lab results, notes and
    reports as needed. Manage hospital follow-ups.
    • Answer basic patient questions via phone, patient portal, within scope of practice.
    • Assess patient care priorities with patient and staff as part of the health care team and
    participate in determining outcomes of interventions.
    • Collaborate with patient, family, and other health care professionals in the
    establishment of goals and implementation of patient plan of care.
    • Facilitate referrals, multidisciplinary review and planning for specific patients.
    • Prioritize work and effectively manage time and projects with minimal supervision.
    • Support a standardized process and content for care education; review materials to
    ensure relevance and accuracy.
    • Develop and maintain a collaborative working relationship with all team members.
    • Serve as clinical staff support resource.
    • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and
    regulations.
    • Perform related work as required.

Required:
    • Graduation from high school or GED. Associates or Bachelors degree in
    healthcare administration or other healthcare related coursework preferred.
    • Familiarity with medical terminology and flow of medical practices
    required.
    • Experience working with Electronic Health Records systems required
    • Knowledge of specialty care, healthcare management and delivery, and basic pharmaceuticals. Excellent organizational skills.
    • Health literate oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with all members of the patient health care team.
    • Ability to access appropriate community resources to assist with patient care.
    • Ability to adhere to and implement regulations in an effective manner.
    • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
    including proficient use of Microsoft office suite, electronic health records, and modern telecom systems.
    • Ability to read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written
    instructions.
    • Ability to multitask, and prioritize work.
