DME Racing is currently seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented CNC Operator to join our team. This individual must have experience in machining metal products. Our Shop is equipped with Haas three, four, and five axis CNC mills, Haas 2 Axis CNC lathe, laser cutting and manual machining.

The ideal candidate will be able to run multiple programs at once, fix broken or malfunctioning parts, and provide assistance in the event of any production issues. The CNC Operator will work closely with our engineers and quality assurance department to ensure the highest quality product.

We are a growing motorsports manufacturing company located in Winston-Salem with a second location opening in Mocksville, NC within the next year. We are looking for a skilled operator that wants move with us to your new location in Mocksville, NC in the next year. We have a close-knit family-oriented environment, and we want a candidate that wants to grow with us long term.

Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

• Start CNC machine and perform Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) procedures. Adjust as needed.
• Select and install appropriate fixturing for the part to be produced, per posted schedule.
• Perform tool offsets as needed. Adjust as required.
• Pull the inspection sheet and blueprint for the part being produced and perform a first piece inspection in accordance with the manufacturing procedures to blueprint required specifications.
• Determines offsets and adjusts on-screen values to compensate for product variations within tolerance.
• Determines Corrective Actions, reporting all problems to a supervisor.
• De-burs products.
• Changes inserts and other tooling as needed using various hand tools.
• Accurately records production at end of shift.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Clean machines on a schedule
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to read measuring instruments, including but not limited to: tape measure, height gauge, angle gauges, and calipers to verify parts are within specification.
• Experience with Mastercam and Fusion360 programs a plus.
• Attention to detail and quality in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Ability to perform minor troubleshooting and determine causes and sources of error.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills (decimal system, min/max values).
• Perform material handling functions using fork lifts and reach truck. Manual lifting for loading and unloading required (up to 50 lbs).
• Manual lathe and mill experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required to pull blueprints, enter orders and load CNC programs.
• CNC HAAS Milling experience and lathe experience a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required with specific CNC technical training at the two year college level preferred.
• Two or more years of verifiable CNC Set-up experience preferred.
