Description:
The ABC Home and Commercial Services Commercial Apprentice Technician is a hardworking and detailed oriented pest management professional. They must possess great interpersonal skills and be customer focused. The Commercial Apprentice Technician must be trustworthy as duties are completed without physical supervision from the clients and management.
Responsibilities:
- Mixing and applying pesticides and rodenticides to structures according to schedule, safety procedures, label instructions, and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) law.
- Inspect client’s property and business for pest activity
- Provide solutions for pest activity
- Build strong relationships and rapport with clients.
- Maintain a professional appearance including uniform, truck and equipment, and personal hygiene.
- Ability to work independently
- Detailed Paperwork
- On-call schedule to cover nights and weekends
- Insulation removal and installation in attics for long periods of time
- Installation of Termimesh
- Monday – Friday, 5am until 4pm and occasional Saturday work
Skills/Requirements:
- EXCELLENT Customer Service & Communication skills
- Ability to execute tasks in a systematic way
- Great listener with the ability to provide the right solutions
- Must be willing to work 1 Saturday a month
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
- Must maintain a good driving record
- Ability to obtain a Technician License within 6 months after start date
Physical Requirements:
- Use backpack sprayer/blower weighing up to 50lbs for up to 8 hours per day
- Bending/Twisting/Reaching/Kneeling/Squatting/Crawling/Pushing/Pulling/Crouching/Stooping/Reaching
- Hand/Eye/Foot coordination
- Ability to climb a ladder to access roofs
- Occasionally aerial lift usage
- Able to get in and out of a car
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- Ability to tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, i.e., Heat/Cold, Heights and Confined spaces
- Exterior Handyman work
Education/Training/Experience/Licensing:
- High School education (or equivalent) is required, some college a plus.
- ABC provides classroom and on-the-job training during the first several months of employment and continuous training thereafter.
- Following on-the-job training and the requirements, employee will be required to complete state certification/licensing process.
