Community Engagement Administrator

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary: This position would be responsible for Leading the development and management of annual plans of work for the region to ensure progress on identified strategic initiatives and program improvement efforts. Monitor progress associated with the Child Welfare Task Force recommendations related to DCF, Performance Improvement Plan, Safety Net and Federal Family First prevention activities with grantees or other community collaborators. Creates quarterly reports on regional activities and progress. Contacts internal/external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of objectives and tasks and assure customer service for all programs. Support regional program leadership to facilitate communication and coordination of existing and new programs and services to include development of processes and procedures as needed. Tracking Family Service Funds and other special funds as requested. Collaborate with Personnel Services, to enhance efforts across all counties in the Wichita region to communicate, recruit, and engage employees for all position classes, as prioritized by Agency and Regional leadership. This includes assisting with onboarding and employee appreciation and recognition efforts. Engages in workforce development and recruitment sand pipeline creation for future workforce needs. Promotes recruitment, selection and retention as requested by personnel services. Provide administrative support to regional program initiatives such as Kansas Practice Model, Team Decision Making, Business Process Management or other practice approaches or projects as needed to assure successful and sustained implementation or augmentation efforts. Develop or improve processes, as needed with any local initiative. Be the point of contact for LMS, assisting in setting up trainings and troubleshooting enrollment issues. Advance community engagement initiatives including Getting to Know Your DCF, coordinating Virtual Office Hours, Community Engagement Resource Fairs, and special events. Advance holistic service delivery by promoting integrated service delivery educating internal staff about the many different programs offered throughout DCF, our community partners and contractors. Develop comprehensive communications plan in consultation with Communications for the region. Engage across programs to facilitate internal communication through identified methods which may include a quarterly newsletter showcasing regional staff, programs and other human interest stories in the region. Coordinate with Communications to develop necessary resources for effective communication with external community stakeholders and customers.

Qualifications

  • Education: General
  • Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring activities relevant to the agency’s programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency. Prefer experience with data base development/management.
  • Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: : Security Clearance: A background check (KBI - criminal background, welfare fraud, driver's license and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check. Security clearance must be obtained prior to employment with DCF
