Community Field Representative - Job Description

Full and Part Time Positions with Flexible Schedules

Are you passionate about helping Oregon develop a clean energy economy? Do you enjoy talking to people? If so, we're offering full or part-time positions with flexible schedules to fit your needs! Oregon Shines is hiring Field Representatives to canvas specified neighborhoods to subscribe to Community Solar Projects. Community solar projects are supported directly through a customer’s existing power bill and do not require any changes to the residence. This program is for both homeowners and renters. There is nothing for them to install and nothing for them to purchase. Everything is already in place - They just need to simply sign up!

Background

Oregon recently rolled out a community solar program: https://www.oregoncsp.org/. In short, this program allows Pacific Power (PAC) and Portland General Electric (PGE) customers the option to offset their electricity with local, clean, solar projects. Oregon Shines offers this renewable energy for 5% less. There's no cost to sign up, no hidden fees/catch, and a guaranteed savings. Community solar customers still receive a bill from their electricity provider with the community solar project savings transparently integrated into the final cost. Most electricity customers aren’t aware this exciting new program exists, and we’re building a team of field representatives to educate and subscribe customers to this clean energy option.
