Position: Computer Engineer
Opportunity Overview:

Position Details:
Salary Range: $65,000-$95,000 annual salary depending on experience and education. This is a full-time exempt position.
This position can be 100% remote for the right candidate.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The successful candidate can participate, contribute, and document throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (Plan, Define, Design, Build, Test, Document, Deploy), including:
- Work with product managers to understand the features, complete technical assessments, design, code, test and deploy
- Work with technical leads and security team to understand technical constraints and incorporate them into the design
- Interface with hardware design and development
- Assess third party and open-source software
- Integrate and validate new product designs
- Apply knowledge of various languages and technologies, as well as the ability to analyze and implement new tools
- Interface software with control firmware and demonstrate software capability prototypes
- Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications, code integrity, organization, and documentation.
- Hardware and Software Testing
- Prototyping
- Use software development and debugging tools to support product development
Education and Certifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer programming, software engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics or closely related technical field is strongly preferred.
Qualifications:
Prefer two years of experience, knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- Programming languages/environments such as Python, PHP, Java, JavaScript, C, C++, SQL, AI/ML such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
- Familiarity with embedded design principles
- Programming of microcontrollers
- Software engineering to design and develop microservices and APIs to interface with control system firmware
- Linux or Microsoft Windows platforms
- Server-side development and configuration
- Integration between high- and low-level software
- Small Form Factor Electronics, including Arduino and FPGA Server-side development and configuration
- Prototyping
- Debugging
The following skills/experience are not required but nice to have:
- Automated Testing (JUnit, Jest, Cypress, etc.)
- Web Service API design and development experience
- AGILE software development techniques
- AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Mobile app development
- Web development
- Linux distribution
- Server-side development (API definitions, REST/GraphQL/gRPC services, etc.)
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for, at minimum, Secret access to classified information. Prefer candidates with an active Secret clearance upon application.
Travel:
This position is not expected to travel.
