Computer Systems Analyst I (Journeyman) Job at Vectrus

Overview:
This position supports the NAWCAD DNA Department’s various IT product teams in development, implementation and improvement of IT related processes aligned with IT Service Management best practices such as ITIL. The position applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments such as Capacity Management and Change/Configuration Management. Performs work that requires practical experience and training. Works under the guidance and supervision of team lead. Analyzes science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software. Run methodologies and execute tasks per defined and documented procedures. Work with team members to find creative, innovative solutions to problems. Write and continually update documentation for all processes and procedures. Support Steady-State Operational and Maintenance activities necessary to continue on-going operations of existing systems and support infrastructure. Participate in the Agile maintenance activities and ceremonies to help facilitate progress, answer any questions, and provide and understand detailed technical requirements as necessary. Provide technical services to ensure successful business operations, maintenance, and enhancement of the systems.

Position is telework eligible, but candidate needs to be available to attend meetings and support other requirements on base as needed. Government reserves the ability to rescind telework eligibility at a later date.
Responsibilities:
  • Contributes to process documentation & deliverables
  • Develops automated process workflows
  • Supports Data Center Capacity Management process
  • Facilitates process improvement meetings (after action reviews, audit reviews, etc.)
  • Researches and implements industry best practices
Qualifications:
Education / Certifications:
  • *Bachelors Degree (*Experience may be substituted for a degree as outlined in the experience section below)
  • ITIL Foundations (can be obtained within 6 months of hire date)
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years related experience if candidate holds an ‘accredited’ Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of 7 experience with an ‘accredited’ Associate’s Degree. Minimum of 9 years of experience if candidates holds no degree. 3 years of total experience must be in a business analyst or requirements analyst role.
  • Preferred candidate will have experience using SharePoint, InfoPath and NINTEX to create automated process workflows.
  • 2+ years experience with facilitating communication/collaboration with client and development team staff through in-person and virtual settings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Active Secret Level Security Clearance (may start with an interim security clearance).
  • Skills & Technology Used:
  • Process Automation Tools (SharePoint, InfoPath, NINTEX, Ivanti Service Manager, etc.)
Other information:
  • "Years of experience" shall mean full, productive years of participation. "Productive years" shall mean 52 weeks of work reduced by reasonable amounts of time for holidays, annual and sick leave.
  • If participation was part-time, or if less than one-half of the standard work week was spent performing qualifying functions, the actual time spent performing qualifying functions may be accumulated to arrive at full years of experience.
  • College Degrees must be obtained from an "accredited college or university" as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
