PROJECT COORDINATOR / JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Our home renovation company is looking for a leadership-orientedindividual experienced in residential construction and customer service to help us coordinate renovation projects for consumers.

Our real estate company of seven years with a five-star Google rating recently expanded into residential renovations for homeowners, and the business has taken off. We currently run a handful of projects at a time, with more coming online every week, so we need to develop a project coordinator to run day-to-day on-site project management.

The qualified candidate can expect to orchestrate our team of sub-contractors, take materials deliveries, supervise quality control, run needed supplies, and conduct lite carpentry & construction work when needed.

You will work directly with the Head Project Manager, who will also train you when needed, and you will collaborate with the sales team to address ongoing client questions and concerns, as well.

Our company treats our employees with the respectthey deserve and places high value on a work-life balance, so Saturday work hours will be limited, and we don’t work Sundays.

PRIMARY SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS:

• Residential construction experience
• Good interpersonal skills; patient, friendly and polite
• Fluent in Spanish and English (MUST HAVE)
• A growth mindset and good attitude

GENERAL EMPLOYMENT PROFILE:

• Working knowledge of the residential construction process
• Possesses an eagle eye for detail
• Comfort with researching building codes and processes
• The ability to execute follow-up construction tasks (e.g. protecting kitchen cabinets after installation).
• Communicates professionally, confidently and cordially.
• Organized and comfortable using/learning project management software.
• Resourceful, humble and open to learnnew skills and techniques
• Some leadership or project management experience a big plus

HOURS & COMPENSATION:

• 8-5 Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturdays.
• 1099 Salaried position / $280 per weekday/ $45 per hour Saturdays (occasionally).
• Two weeks paid vacation per annual contract.

• Needs to have own work truck or similar construction vehicle.
• We will provide all tools and apps needed for jobs.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF OUR PROJECT COORDINATOR:

As the Light Box Homes Project Coordinator, you are the leader on the job site, and your goal is to complete a successful home renovation project. Every day and every job presents a different set of challenges, as you execute a variety of residential remodeling jobs, bringing our clients’ vision to life.

We typically work on just a small number of projectsat any given time, emphasizing quality over quantity. So, you can expect to drive from job site to job site coordinating and supervising the team.

Like an orchestra conductor, you organize and optimize your team of sub-contractors to produce only the finest quality construction results, maintaining an organized schedule to encourage excellence and productivity.

As needed, you will be called on to run missing suppliesto sub-contractors and generally assist your team as well as the clients with completing the project and handling any issues that may arise. As you will be our clients’ first point of contact, so you will collaborate with the Head Project Manager to resolve their concerns.
