Position Overview

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for managing a community and ensuring that homes are started and closed on time and delivered at a high level of quality while maintaining the Woodside Values. .

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a background or field of study in construction or a related industry, with 5+ years of experience building homes. An understanding of residential construction techniques and scheduling is required in this role. The candidate should have the ability to balance multiple tasks at one time and hit deadlines without compromising quality or productivity. The candidate will need to have familiarity with software scheduling tools.

Essential Job Functions

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for completing the following scopes, along with other associated tasks as assigned:

Customer Experience

o Deliver an experience for the customer that builds their confidence in Woodside, exceeds their expectations, and creates customers for life

o Deliver job site cleanliness, good appearance and safety.

o Conduct weekly meetings with your community team. Provide customers with updates on construction status and address concerns

o Align with Woodside’s vision of providing a great customer experience.

Construction Quality, Schedule, Budget, & Safety

o Ensure adherence to the construction schedule and budget for each home through Hyphen Build Pro scheduling software

o Deliver the highest quality of work at every cycle and stage in the production chain

o Be a champion of the Woodside Geographical Planned Production system. This involves a coordinated effort with Resource Planning, Purchasing, Sales, Land and Customer Care.

o Inspect trade partner work to ensure it meets customer expectations, the established quality standards, and local building codes

o Maintain the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (“SWPPP”) and Safety Plan Standards

Trade Partner Relationships

o Develop trusting trade partnerships leveraging their skills, and expertise, to collaborate in strategically, operationally and technologically improving the production chain
