Position Summary: The Client Service Consultant is an integral member of the team of investment consultants who directly serve Altair Adviser’s clients. He or she will provide support in managing client relationships and may participate in marketing efforts with prospective clients. The Consultant works with the operations group to facilitate client requests and all operational elements of portfolio management. The Consultant works with the senior members of the client services team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of materials for meetings with clients and prospective clients.
- Draft investment recommendations and reallocation plans for clients
- Analyze reports used for investment performance tracking, retirement planning, charitable gifting and tax related information
- Execute trading and other client transactions as decided upon with the client and engagement team
- Recognize opportunities to take on leadership roles with internal partners
- Maintain and grow an outside professional network that will eventually result in business development opportunities
- Anticipate needs of clients, their other advisers and internal partners
- All other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or other business related field is required
- Superior analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Highly proactive, must have a strong work ethic
- High level of team orientation; strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision in a rapidly changing environment
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
- 3 to 5 years relevant experience in investment consulting
- CFP™ certification or candidate; CFA charter holder or candidate preferred
- FLSA Status: Exempt
