The company has unique ventures throughout the UK, USA, Canada and Europe, with new openings planned for all global regions, with the addition of Asia in 2019.

The venue…

Soho Beach House overlooks Miami Beach, our House is set in a 15-story tower at the northernmost point of the Art Deco district. The main pool is surrounded by daybeds for reading and relaxing with a private stretch of beach with full waiter service. Our Club Bar is a nod to 1940s Cuba, featuring rotating art installations, a terrace, sofas and tables and other spaces and amenities that our members can enjoy. Our members are like-minded people with creative souls, and Soho House is a place to have fun, meet and grow.

We opened our first spa in a converted cowshed in 1998. Today, we have Cowshed spas and gyms with an array of state-of-the-art equipment and facilities in Soho House locations from Berlin to Miami and London to New York. Our dedicated team of highly skilled professionals enjoy taking care of people by providing a comfortable setting to rewind, relax and workout.

The role…

At Soho House a Cowshed Manager overseeing the Spa is dedicated to health and wellness as well as beauty spas. This is a dynamic role that oversees every aspect of the day-to-day management of Soho House Cowshed Spa. Responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the spa facilities as well as ensuring that the equipment and machines are in excellent working condition. Overseeing the Gym means being dedicated to health and wellness as well as overall fitness. This role oversees every aspect of the day-to-day management of Soho House fitness centers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the gym as well as ensuring that the equipment and machines are in excellent working condition.

A successful Cowshed Manager is an energetic and enthusiastic leader who ensures locker rooms and sauna are hygienic, merchandise is visually optimized to increase spend and staff schedules are managed as well as various services offered to member / guest are marketed appropriated and advertised through all media channels. For the gym: creating and scheduling classes and personal training sessions, scheduling the gym team, and overseeing the work of the gym staff.

Main Duties

• Influential beauty and wellness leader responsible for providing high quality services and elevated experiences to members and guests as well as overseeing staffing levels, retail and various promotions
• Oversee Cowshed Spa team (reception, therapists, nail technicians' barbers, and estheticians) including but not limited to recruitment, on-boarding, training, payroll and disciplinary procedures. As well as staff performance, conducting appraisals and strategize with leadership to assess staff performance and development while maintaining professional relationships
• Effectively create and monitor budget and analyze forecast as well as anticipate opportunities by identifying services to promote and elevate member, guest experiences while making changes where needed to increase profit margins by introducing additional revenue streams
• Ensure that all financial transactions are completed in accordance with finance procedures, including security, processing and banking (as appropriate) as well as responsible for partnering with General Manager and local leadership to create, maintain and manage reporting on monthly performance of the facility against budget projections
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Events Team with the promotion of facility services, retail products and amenities to optimize new business opportunities and potential return on investments
• Prepare and maintain detailed records of day to day operations and write corresponding reports manage spa and gym database systems effectively for sales, renewals, direct debits, customer exits and membership numbers
• Vendor management and supply and procurement activities and deal with equipment manufacturers to ensure all pieces of spa and gym equipment comply with safety and Soho House standards and organize the repair, cleaning, maintenance, and purchase of gym machines
• Adhere to health and safety policy (I.e. IIPP, worker's comp procedures, and allergy procedures) is always followed as well as implement, monitor and enforce compliance with all Company policies procedures, and standards and local, state, and federal law as applicable
• Influential fitness leader responsible for providing high quality fitness training, advice, programs, and inductions to members and staff as well as overseeing staffing levels and member events

• Monitor and analyze delivery of services to identify opportunities for quality of delivery, attendance figures, and making changes where needed to increase profit margins and revenue streams

Required Skills/Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7+ years' experience in a similar role within retail, beauty, fitness, health and/or wellness
• Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety matters
• Strong communication and people skills, business savvy and technology efficient
• Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holiday's (when applicable)
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Bachelor's degree in sport science, business administration or management, or another related field
• Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety matters

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
• Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
• Must be physically fit.
• Must be able to work on your feet for at least 10 hours.
• Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 50 pounds.
• Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb as required.
