Credentialing Coordinator (Remote) Job at Pinehurst Medical Clinic
Position Summary
Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to join our team in Pinehurst, NC. This position plays a key role in patient care working with our providers in providing to help oversee all aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing, and privileging processes for physicians and other providers with contracted insurance companies who provide patient care at Pinehurst Medical Clinic, Inc. and its affiliated clinics and endoscopy centers. This is a full-time role working first shift hours Monday- Friday. This is a full-time, day-shift position and does not require weekend or holiday hours, and has the ability to be a remote role.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Compiles and maintains current and accurate data for all providers.
- Completes provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications
- Ensures all credentialing applications and forms are completed accurately, thoroughly, and timely.
- Monitors the status of each provider’s credentialing and re-credentialing. Follows up with credentialing entities to ensure provider credentialing is complete and timely.
- Communicates status of provider and practice information to applicable practices and upper management
- Sets up and maintains provider information in online credentialing databases and systems.
- Tracks license and certification expirations for all providers and clinical licensed staff to ensure timely renewals.
- Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, and any other required credentialing documents for all providers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education (Including Licenses and Certifications):
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate degree preferred.
- Credentialing, CAQH, and NPPES experience preferred.
Experience:
- One to two years of relevant credentialing experience is strongly preferred.
