Credit Administrative Assistant Job at First Bank - NJ
Position Summary:
A Credit Administrative Assistant (“CAA”) reports to the Credit Officer of the department. A candidate for CAA would have at least 1-2 years non-commercial banking business experience, several years of retail banking experience or would be a recent college graduate with skills adaptable to the position.
A CAA is responsible for assisting the Credit Officer with the gathering of data and preparation of Board Reports; imaging credit file documentation to the Banks electronic filing system; saving credit file information to the appropriate working files; generating tracking reports; adding and tracking financial and covenant ticklers; preparing financial statement spreads and covenant compliance; and, promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services when applicable.
Both on-the-job training and periodic off-site training will be available.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Collecting data and assisting with the preparation of reports for the Board of Directors
· Assist with the coordination of loan portfolio reviews, audits and regulatory reviews.
· Assist with oversight of the credit function (reporting, stress testing, covenant testing, credit file maintenance, etc)
· Preparing financial statement spreads and covenant compliance
· Assisting with maintenance of credit and documentation files.
· Imaging credit file documents to the Banks electronic file system and saving to working files.
· Majority of work will be commercial in nature (versus consumer).
Other:
· Should have strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Should have strong familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
