We are currently looking for a Credit & Collections Analyst to add to our Charlotte team. Working with the Credit Manager along with the Credit team, the Credit & Collections Analyst will be responsible managing our credit risks, collection activities and overall accounts receivable program.
In this position, you will be required to:
- Review files to select delinquent accounts for collection efforts.
- Make collection calls on assigned group of accounts and process necessary correspondence with internal and external customers.
- Set credit limits on new accounts
- Evaluate customer records and recommend that accounts be closed, credit limit reduced or extended, or collection attempted, based on earnings data, payment history, and purchase activity of customer.
- Confer with representatives of credit associations and other businesses to exchange information concerning credit ratings and forwarding addresses.
- Interview customers in person or by telephone to investigate complaints, verify accuracy of charges, or to correct errors in accounts.
- Create and maintains databases on activity conducted in all accounts.
- Prepare reports on current findings and suggested action to be taken for all accounts to be written off.
To be successful in this role, an ideal candidate will have:
- Two to three years of relevant credit experience (high volume is preferred but not required)
- Strong working knowledge as to how the credit and collections process works
- Applicable laws, codes, regulations, standards, methods and practices related to credit and collections for a for-profit entity
- Sales tax for multiple states
- Standard office practices and procedures
- Software applications related to accounting systems
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software such as Excel and Outlook
