Forward Slope, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to provide Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment and authorization (A&A) support for the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC). Day-to-day efforts include working with highly-talented professionals and subject matter experts to design, implement, and monitor cyber security and information assurance policies for mission-critical software systems used by US Navy warfighters.

This is a full-time position under our Enterprise Solutions portfolio.

  • Salary Range: $115,000-$150,000 per year

Required qualifications:
  • Currently hold an active Secret clearance
  • Certified as a Navy Qualified Validator (Minimum Level I)
  • Experience with software system design, including but not limited to web applications, microservices, containerization, networking, and IT infrastructure
  • 1+ year Department of Navy (DoN) accreditation experience related to:
  • Implementing and supporting cybersecurity standards to include NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) standards
  • Assisting with the development of system information assurance documentation to support RMF accreditation through the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Responding to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) as necessary to address systems vulnerabilities
  • Working with systems owners, government managers, and other stakeholders to manage cybersecurity requirements
Desired qualifications:
  • Experience as a Navy Information Systems Security Officer / Manager (ISSO / ISSM)
  • Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level 3 Certified
