As our Data SME, you will be supporting our product lead in transforming multiple data feeds and requirements into a consolidated data lake for our customers to use as their integrated data platform and to participate in the construction of data products that provide actionable analytics.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and optimize cloud-native data platform technology in AWS, implementing terabyte scale analytics solutions for our customer leveraging Glue, EMR, Kinesis, RedShift and Sagemaker.
• Participate in the development and oversee the delivery of teamwork products, evaluating their efficacy and employ software maintenance techniques to minimize the required level of maintenance of developed solution
• Participate as a scrum team member to compose, develop and validate data platform requirements and stories
• Lead blueprinting sessions with various technical team members to source system data, producing use cases, executing the development of these stories, and presenting the final solution to our customers.
• Participate in data security and data ethics discussions regarding the integration of data and its use.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in programming python, scala or R.
• 2-4 years of experience of data life cycle management and its implementation, starting with requirement elicitation and coaching to analytical evaluation and testing.
• 2-4 years of applying spark architecture.
• 2-4 years of experience in database analysis, schema development, and SQL analysis.
• 1-3 years of test-driven development or other testing-oriented development practices.
• 1-2 years of applied statistics and exploratory data analytics.
• Experience building data platforms using cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and enforce the software development life cycle across a software team.
• Active Secret Clearance or able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• 2+ years of experience with AWS data platform technology including Glue, EMR, and Sagemaker.
• 3+ years of professional exploratory data analytics and/or data visualizations.
• 2+ years of experience in performing data analysis using Python and/or R.
• 1-2+ years of applied machine learning and model evaluation.
• Working knowledge of popular python data science libraries such as Pandas and Numpy.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
