Job Description of Data Engineer :
Financial Asset Management is looking for data scientists who will enjoy finding creative solutions to solve complex business problems in Finance industry. The person in this role will work with large datasets, find necessary insights, build machine learning models, and present results to the stakeholders. Creating a useful solution for a business problem requires good technical and programming skills as well as creativity and practicality.
As a Data Science Engineer, you will possess expertise in our data infrastructure and assist in making data-driven decisions through analytical and predictive modeling. Your responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and managing data pipelines, which may involve ETL processes.
Using these pipelines, you will deploy analytical models, segment clients, and predict future trends. As you progress in your role, you will become a valuable asset to the Business by optimizing distribution efforts for maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities of Data Engineer:
- Communicate with clients to understand their business processes, rules, and requirements.
- Determine necessary models and algorithms that meet solution requirements.
- Determine data requirements. Gather, understand, clean, and process data for the modeling purposes. Write SQL or Python scripts that can be used to automate data preparation process.
- Build and deploy models using open-source and proprietary tools.
- Test and validate model results for robustness and accuracy.
- Create effective and quality visualization dashboards and presentations to explain business insights and results to project steering committees.
Qualifications of Data Engineer:
- Mandatory Skills - 3+ years of hands on experience in Python, SQL, ETL, Azure/AWS.
- The desired qualifications for this position include a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Data Engineering role, with a specific focus on designing and implementing ETL processes for at least 2 years.
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar field with the focus on predictive analytics, and machine learning courses.
- The ideal candidate should possess advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience using both of these programming languages.
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and proficiency in statistical analysis are required qualifications for this position
- 2 years of industry experience in analyzing large data, building visualizations, and building and deploying machine learning models.
- Experience in building clustering, classification, regression, time-series forecasting, and other predictive analytics and machine learning models using Python or other programming languages.
- The key responsibilities of this position involve creating and implementing machine learning algorithms and predictive models that align with the Business's objectives.
- Experience in building user-focused visualizations using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
- Experience in data wrangling using SQL or similar tools.
- Comfortable in explaining a technical topic to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with REST API calls
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
