As an Assistant to the Medical Review Officer (MRO), you will work be responsible for utilizing drug screening software to process results received from the laboratory as well as performing the following duties.

  • Work directly with Medical Review Officer
    • Transferring phone interviews
    • Communication through Teams chat system
  • Outbound phone calls to donors to facilitate MRO interview through RingCentral phone system
  • Knowledge of: TestVault; MIS Admin; OneDrive; RingCentral; MS Office, MS Teams; Salesforce
  • Utilize Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application for client and internal case management
  • Reviewing the chain of custody form for accurate information and setting up donor record for MRO contact
  • Call/Email/Fax collection sites in order to obtain necessary documentation, such as:
    • Notifying a collection site when an affidavit is required
    • Requesting chain of custody forms
    • Obtaining additional information regarding a collection process
  • Working closely with the laboratories
    • Obtain documentation or information regarding invalid results
    • Obtain necessary information or documentation regarding a re-test
  • Maintain notes and documentation on outstanding drug screen results
  • Manually entering drug screen results and reviewing them for accuracy
  • Reporting Federal and Non-Federal drug screen results to clients
  • Reporting Federal Non-Negative results to the Federal testing Authority/Agency
  • Preparing Medical Review Audits for the Medical Review Officer
  • Answering incoming phone calls from donors and collection sites
  • Any and all other duties relating to the drug screening process or deemed necessary by Management

The qualified candidate is required to possess these skills and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Certificate program, some college or a degree a plus!)
  • Experience in customer service via phone and email
  • Ability to work in high volume conditions
  • Skilled at multi-tasking
  • Well organized
  • Follow instructions and standard operating procedures/processes (SOPs)
  • MS Office Intermediate User (Advanced user a plus!)
  • Minimum of 45 WPM typing speed
  • Use of the Internet including use of multiple browsers–advanced experience
  • Skilled in analytical problem solving and critical thinking
  • Exhibited effective communication by phone, email or in person through strong verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and spelling.
  • Have a sense of urgency in your work
  • High regard for attention to detail
  • Previous experience in drug-screening industry a plus!
