Experience:
  • Must be administrator-qualified or willing to become administrator-qualified in the state of Ohio
  • Minimum of One Year of experience in management in the child care / daycare industry
  • Minimum of One Year of lead teacher classroom teaching experience in an early childhood center / daycare
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred but not necessary; Or Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
  • Experience managing a large staff
  • Impeccable attendance record with verified employer references
  • A desire to build lasting relationships with employees, families and vendors
  • Experience in event planning and execution a must
  • Cheerful, energetic demeanor with the upmost of positivity
  • Ability to work in teams and in small groups to accomplish goals
Key Responsibilities:
  • Helps the Director and Owners operate and manage all aspects of the school, including business management, education and continual learning and development, campus environment, and marketing and communications
  • Assists the Director and Owners with the necessary management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control
  • Responsible for opening the school before 6:30 am Monday through Friday by following a daily management opening checklist; managing the morning schedule, greeting families and overseeing compliance of company policies & procedures
  • Understands and has strong working knowledge of curriculum, classroom management and health & safety
  • Creates a culture of engagement by empowering teachers to find solutions for themselves but also assists in providing direction
  • Participates in the selection and hiring of teaching staff
  • Coordinates with other members of the Leadership Team to implement the training plan for new teaching staff
  • Actively develops and maintains positive staff relationships and family partnerships
  • Confidently make scheduling / operations decisions
  • Assists in the responsibility to manage operation of the school in the Director’s absence
  • Ability to perform all of the essential functions for each position in the School, including, but not limited to, other leadership team positions, teacher, food service teacher, and bus driver
  • Performs other duties as assigned
