Wipro Givon is excited to have an opportunity for an entry level Deburr Operator. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable individual looking for a structured environment in aerospace.
This position remove burrs and excess material from machined and/or sheet metal parts to within specified tolerances by operating various hand, power, and pneumatic tools while performing the following duties.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  • Reads and interprets written work order instructions, specifications, drawings, and blueprints to determine appropriate tool requirements to perform deburr operations.
  • Removes sharp edges and excess material from machined and/or sheet metal parts, to within the required tolerances as given on work order instructions and specifications.
  • References work orders to verify correct quantities of parts are received, deburred, and subsequently forwarded to the next operation.
  • Uses a variety of precision measuring instruments and tools to inspect deburr work performed; ensuring proper tolerances are maintained.
  • Sets up, operates, and performs daily preventive maintenance of all machinery and equipment used in the department.
  • Complies with all company rules, policies, and procedures. Works and behaves safely by following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance to ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work orders, specifications, drawings, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10- 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40-50 pounds.
