Delivery Crew/Warehouse Team Job at Furniture Enterprises of Alaska Inc
Sadler's Home Furnishings of Fairbanks is looking to hire a Delivery Team / Warehouse Team Member. Our Delivery Teams provide excellent customer service through careful delivery of furniture and mattresses to customer's homes. Our Warehouse Team unloads vans of arriving shipments and prepare sold items for delivery and customer pickup. These positions require strength due to the size and weight of furniture items, and a pleasant personality for interaction with our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Excellent Attendance. These are full time positions and co-workers need to rely on other Team Member's attendance.
Receive and put-away merchandise shipped from the Anchorage Distribution Center
Learn and use our simple and effective procedures to improve efficiency and reduce damage to products
Carefully load furniture and mattresses into customer's vehicles
Deliver furniture and mattresses to customer's residences on schedule and without damage to product or residence
Be courteous and professional with all customers, all of the time
Operate company trucks in a professional, courteous and safe manner
Perform other duties as assigned including keeping company trucks and warehouse clean and orderly
Working weekends and some holidays as we are a retail business
Qualifications:
Hold a valid driver’s license
Clean DMV Driving Record
Pass a DOT health screening
High school Diploma or GED
Lift up to 40-75 pounds consecutively, frequent bending, stopping, pulling, walking and lifting required
Capable of carefully handling merchandise
Be dependable, and punctual
Complete the Pre-employment drug screening and a background check
