Demolition Estimator Job at Elgin Demolition

Are you a recent graduate or experienced Estimator?
We are a large Demolition Company looking to expand our team!
We prefer candidates with Civil Project experience or recently completed education with Bachelors Degree.
The company is growing rapdly and the position allows you to learn Estimating in the Demolition Industry with massive opportunities for growth!
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investigate new opportunities.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Accurately take off structure square footage, volume of concrete, asphalt, steel, & debris .
- Populate excel spreadsheets with quantities
- Coordinate internal bid reviews
- Prepare written scopes of work and any bidding document if required
- Secure subcontractor quotes
- Meet project deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Superior organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines efficiently
- Able to easily transition between tasks and problem solve
- A working knowledge of the construction bidding process or able to learn quickly
- MS Office, word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Database software
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-year College Degree preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- 3-5 years’ work experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
