Job Summary

Under the direction of the Fabrication Shop Supervisor, this position will use in house software to create, fans, FANWALL® parts, internal tie-offs and unit accessories using corresponding data. This position will also be required to be the liaison between the shop and the shop release department. This is a full-time, permanent position with regularly scheduled working hours of 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on first shift.

Job Responsibilities

• Working to create part files using AutoCAD and other programs.
• Document control of drawings and maintains, or updates shop files.
• Coordinates work output with production schedule.
• Utilization of internally developed programs for getting data to various departments.
• Commits to performing job duties in a manner that ensures a safe work environment.
• Willingly and cooperatively performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Must be able to wear protective gear and equipment.
• Self-motivated person who can quickly prioritize with minimal oversight.
• Maintains an attitude which consistently represents the organizational culture, including: the mission, vision and core attributes.
• Other Ad hoc duties as assigned by manager
• Supports “Lean Business Enterprise” initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.

Job Qualifications

• Computer Aided Design drafting certification or Associates Degree in drafting, designing or related degree or 5 years or more of shop floor production experience with the ability to learn AutoCAD as well as other computer programs.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of similar work experience in manufacturing or construction experience (W1), or equivalent combination of technical school, on-the-job training and work experience.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows. This position requires the ability to navigate through Microsoft Windows accessories as well as Microsoft Office Software.
• Good working knowledge of AHU configuration and assembly.
• Problem solving ability and creativity.
• Must have demonstrated ability to communicate (speak, read, write) in English.
• Good math skills are preferred to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Able to work independently and with others.
