Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Candidate will help create and maintain a compliance monitoring SaaS solution for application containers from within the federal government. Solution will leverage vendor tools and agency integrations to deliver a continuous ATO capability to the federal government. Candidate needs to be knowledgeable of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) as these will be used to perform automated checks of a container environment. These checks in the form of profiles (ruby) and rulesets (BASH) scripts are used to scan from within an AWS / Azure Kubernetes Docker environment. Candidate will be required to instantiate various technologies in different environments to test profiles and scripts. Candidate will support a DevSecOps development pipeline for solution the SaaS solution development as well as quality assurance and validation on the automated STIG checks.

Ideal candidate will have experience with Angular or React UI development, experience with databases, cybersecurity principles and with modern containerized web application development practices and technologies. The candidate will have strong analytical skills, a desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The candidate will also require strong debugging skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in an agile team environment.

Skills (Desired and/or Required):

  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap)
  • Experience using a major JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Development IDE's, GitHub or GitLab for source code management
  • Practical exposure with Development IDEs and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools like GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins, to merge development with testing through pipelines
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS etc.) and possess the ability to instantiate and debug a containerized application for the purpose of compliance checking
  • Knowledge of security tools and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Knowledge of BASH or Ruby, ability to write scripts to automate software compliance process
  • Experience with AWS or Azure, cloud networking and cloud native tools
  • Experience with various Linux operating systems and command line operation
  • Knowledge of Agile framework, Scrum methodologies and knowledge of tools used to support them
  • Familiarity with automated provisioning scripts such as CloudFormation, Terraform or Ansible for applications.
  • Strong Debugging Skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer or engineering field or equivalent

5+ years’ experience

Required Certifications:

Must maintain IAT Level II Certification
Security+ CE (or higher, CISSP etc.)

Clearance Requirement:

Department of Defense Interim Secret

The projected compensation range for this position is $115,500-$153,238. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
