Persistent Systems is seeking a Digital Verification Engineer to join our team in our NYC headquarters. The Verification Engineer will develop verification testbenches to exercise our modem IP that runs on FPGA’s. The candidate should be experienced in testing and debugging RTL (written in Verilog and/or VHDL) with industry standard simulation tools such as ModelSim, Vivado or Quartus. Experience in setting up automated regression test suites in a Linux environment, say via Python, Tcl or shell scripts, is also highly desired.
Position Responsibilities
- Setting up detailed verification plans for IP running in an FPGA environment.
- Writing verification testbenches in industry standard platforms such as SystemVerilog, UVM, and/or CocoTB
- Set up and maintain automated regression tests via Tcl, Python or shell scripts in a Linux environment
- Collaborating directly with designers for debug of complex digital designs
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering
- 5 years of digital verification experience in an ASIC or FPGA design environment
- Strong experience with testing and debugging RTL written in VHDL or SystemVerilog
- Comfortable with industry-standard RTL simulators such as Modelsim or Vivado
- Some degree of familiarity with C/C++/Matlab for co-verification, though expert level knowledge is not expected
- Experience with scripting environment such as Python, Tcl or shell in a Linux environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must have a United States Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a United States Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering
- Experience with logic synthesis, layout, and gate-level simulations in an FPGA environment
- Some familiarity with communication or signal processing protocols
