This role will be a member of senior leadership and advise on high-level decisions for our organization relating to our extensive dairy business. Managing and growing sales in large, complex, key accounts is an integral portion of this career, executing form our consultative portfolio. These consulting areas include genetics, reproduction, mating strategies, dairy-records analysis, and other key performance indicators for our dairies. If desired, additional hosting of international-tour groups and related training opportunities can be included. Job Responsibilities/duties: Co-manage integral key accounts with other senior staff members; Lead efforts to prospect a finite list of large dairies; Build relationships with prospective clients and maintain partnerships with current clients within the defined territory; Participate with bull proofs, genetic- and consulting-related meetings, as well as other meetings for internal, high-level business development planning; Conduct analysis of farm records to accurately benchmark reproduction, genetics, and production statistics. Utilize data to develop progress reports for review with herd owners and the CentralStar Cooperative team; Proactively market our genetic, service, and product portfolio to maximize industry advantages; Provide supervision, mentorship, guidance, and direction to the CentralStar consulting team using effective communication, coaching, goal setting, and active-leadership modeling; and Schedule, implement meetings for training to provide data analysis and technology-consulting services to dairy producers and our consulting staff. Requirements/Qualifications: Education B.S. degree in dairy/animal science, agribusiness, or a related area is preferred; Minimum 5 years of experience in the dairy cattle industry is necessary; and At least two years of employee-management experience. Excellent writing and communication skills; Experience demonstrating successful employee management techniques; Exceptional public-speaking skills, including pre-speech preparation, dynamic delivery efforts, and the ability to interact with the audience and answer questions; Positive work ethic with a service-oriented attitude; Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team structure; Polished skills in the overall use of dairy-related technology, including DairyComp 305, PCDART, heat-detection systems, etc.; Ability to adapt and learn new technologies; Strong computer skills required, experience with Microsoft office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word); Exceptional dairy cattle genetic and/or reproductive knowledge; and Sales experience in the dairy and/or agricultural industry.
