G&C Foods is looking for an experienced Director of Finance, this role will oversee all aspects of the company’s financial planning, management, and accounting operations. The Director of Finance is an accomplished accountant and proactive with company finances while also commercially aware, providing support and proactive advice on the best path of growth for our business. Reporting to the President, and working closely with key operational stakeholders, this role will include establishing targets, developing budgets, and performing financial analysis. The role requires an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal and dynamic leadership abilities.

In this role you will...
- Leads the finance and accounting teams. Staying true to Company Values and focuses on people, strategy, and performance.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategies. Develops an intimate understanding of each department within the organization by working in each department during onboarding.
- Provides dynamic leadership of the finance and accounting teams, maintaining a positive attitude, driving retention and performance.
- Sets expectations of the finance and accounting teams, including but not limited to, prioritization of work, establishing daily/weekly/monthly tasks, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Acts as an advisor to the Senior Team, keeping current on financial metrics, banking and insurance considerations, and financial best practices.
- Implements and executes standard operating procedures to keep the company in compliance.
- Maintains an intimate understanding of inventory management, receivables, cash flow, and borrowing, with a focus on liquidity.
- Supports a culture that drives empowerment and success across the organization.
- Plays a role as part of the decision-making team around financial strategy of the company.
- Guides financial team to drive transparency, insight, and forward-looking strategy to the rest of the organization. Each department knows where they stand financially, what metrics drive their business, and how they are forecasting to end the fiscal year.
- Lead Corporate Governance and Management
- Maintain existing banking relationships while also scouting for newer and better avenues.
- Ensure accurate and timely corporate reporting, including assist in the coordinating of Budgets and Forecasts
- Analyze business performance, create scenario analysis, perform rolling forecasts and competitor analysis
- Cultivate productive working relationships with cross functional teams to create and provide guidance on strategic plans, annual budgets/quarterly forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities
- Coaching and development of the operational team to generate improvement in account profitability through raising financial awareness and acumen
- Drive efficiencies working across finance / commercial teams through system and process improvements
- Coordinate field management needs with corporate accounting, finance, treasury, IT and other departments as needed
Education Requirements:
- 15+ years of broad financial planning & analysis experience including accounting, budgeting, planning, execution, and analysis. 10+ years in a management or other financial leadership role.
- Must hold a four-(4) year accounting/ finance degree
- CPA and MBA preferable
- In-depth knowledge of accounting software, corporate principals, and financial analysis.
