Banyan Treatment Centers now has a location in Wasilla, Alaska! Banyan is currently recruiting a Director of Operations to join our team!

The Director of Operations will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Behavioral Health Services, Housekeeping, Food Services and Maintenance departments. They will play an integral role in interviewing applicants prior to facility accepting clients.


Schedule Available:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
  • Available on-call 24/7 for facility emergencies.

The Director of Operations is a hardworking and essential member of the team who ensures safe quality care for all Banyan Treatment Center clients; provides leadership, supervision and training to several Directors and Supervisors in the Operation and Transportation departments, in accordance with the standards of State and Federal Regulations. The Director of Operations is the company's Safety Officer and manages the Dietary, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Behavioral Health Services departments.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the supervision, training and monitoring of Operations staff
  • Coordinates with clinical staff to establish client schedules and activities and maintains communication with counselors regarding clients.
  • Assist with client interventions and addresses any grievances or complaints from the clients or Operation department staff
  • Ensures transportation safety by overseeing van inspections and following safety rules and conducts weekly safety inspections of residence and facility
  • Supervise completion of routine maintenance and all inspections and safety reports and turn in on schedule in a timely, efficient manner
  • Utilize independent judgment, strong initiative and decision making skill.
  • Coordination, planning and the scheduling of staff, events and activities critical to the position.
  • Makes a responsible effort to adhere to established safety procedures and practices in the work place and complies with information security policies, protocols and procedures and confidential information in accordance with the HIPPA, Information Security Policy, Protocols, Procedures and CFR-42.
  • Disperse and supervise Transportation Supervisor for errands, appointments, transportation needs of clients including client activities, medical visits, shopping, to and from meetings, assisting in transferring clients between levels of care in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Hold mandatory meetings monthly to discuss any concerns, problems and for training purposes and generate monthly reports as identified
  • Assures that the facility’s patient care policies and procedures and including those related to the environment of care, which relate to dietary services are implemented.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree, preferred. Some college, required.
  • 3 or more years of experience in the field of chemical dependency/substance abuse and/or psychiatric setting/
  • 2-3 years of experience supervisory experience and/or managing operations in a substance abuse treatment center, required.
  • Valid Driver License and ability to be added to Company Vehicle Insurance Policy.
