The four organizations have a combined 154 years of expertise, with almost 120 in the state of Idaho, serving individuals with behavioral health conditions ranging from mild-to-moderate to chronic and complex.

The Director of Provider Network will serve as a key leader of the Idaho Behavioral Health Collaborative and on the Senior Leadership Team of BPA Health. The position is based in Boise, Idaho. In anticipation of the contract award, we are recruiting top talent in an effort to have contingency hires offered soon.
Summary:
The Director of Provider Network has overall responsibility for the vision, implementation, and care of BPA Health provider networks.
The successful candidate possesses expertise, direct experience with and understanding of the provider network management core processes: Network Adequacy, Recruiting, Application, Credentialing, Contracting, Provider Payment Methodologies, Onboarding, Technical Assistance and Education and ongoing Quality Assurance.
This position is responsible for designing and administering policies and services that comply with regulatory and contractual requirements, building and maintaining key relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and decision makers including Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, providers, and other leadership to develop and maintain a high quality, high performing provider network program.
The Director of Provider Network ensures that provider network operational needs are met and ensures compliance with state/federal health plan requirements, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and accreditations, and health plan requirements.
How you will make an impact in this role:
- Drive and assist in the design of strategic plans and management of enterprise-wide, large-scale provider network initiatives, pilots, and projects promoting quality care
- Direct and oversee innovation initiatives, data analysis activities, and evaluation strategies to support payment innovation and value-based payment operations
- Maintain knowledge of innovative evidence-based practices and apply creative solutions to provider challenges
- Build alliances across the leadership team to ensure a collaborative, efficient, and viable operating model
- Support cost management projects through analysis of expenses to determine savings for both proposed and implemented initiatives
- Work to create evidence-based solutions to address provider quality issues
- Hire, train, coach, counsel, evaluate the performance of and develop the provider team
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires education in health and human services field (i.e. public health, social work, nursing, counseling) and a minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical and/or behavioral health setting, either provider or payer; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Master’s degree a plus.
- Current unrestricted Independent Clinical or Behavioral Health licensure is preferred, but not required.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- Behavioral health field experience preferred.
- Provider network management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Idaho behavioral health market, trends and related issues preferred.
- Appreciation of cultural diversity and strong sensitivity towards target member population
